We went to A Day Out With Thomas in Boulder City. We decided to do that instead of the fair this year, but the boys did still get to go thanks to Bri & Rob!
Unfortunately it was a rainy, windy & freezing day. The sun came out a little when we were in line to board Thomas & it warmed up then. Along with the Thomas ride there were other activities for the kids. A huge tent was the gift shop of course. Other small tents had story telling, Thomas play tables, Thomas crafts, and food. You could also get your picture with Sir Topham Hat. Even though it was cold I think the kids had fun. Gma & Gpa Jones and Aunt Brianne came with us.

Hans & Knox at the table. I felt bad Hans only had a light jacket on. There was only a 20% chance of showers that day.
We waited in line for 30 minutes. Our departure time was actually moved back almost an hour from what it was supposed to be. Everyone looks cold in the picture but I actually wasn't too cold thanks to my new tinfoil lined coat.
Finally we got to actually see Thomas after the ride. There were so many people trying to get pictures with him that we just did our own version of pictures. You could pay lots of money to have it done professionally. No thanks!
There was a model train show across the street from the train museum where Thomas was. I think this was the highlight of the day for Grandpa! They were really neat set ups.
The happy train watchers. Probably because there was a heater right above their heads.
They even had a train with Thomas on it. Knox was so funny. Even though he was freezing he had to have his coat unzipped so everyone could see it. He was shaking but he would say "I'm not cold!". Luckily the guy behind him in the picture told him he really liked his Thomas shirt.
We left just in time to see Thomas drive by with the next load of people. The boys climbed the hill so we could get another picture.
After Thomas we met uncle Robert for lunch in Henderson. It was a fun day! Even though the boys say they can't wait for the fair again next year I might still look for an alternative activity.
