We started the night off with a few sparklers in the backyard. Rennlie had already gone to bed for the night so she missed out.
Knox has been pretty nervous about fire lately (like he thinks the house will burn down) so he took his job seriously.
Then we headed to the fairgrounds for the big show.
We were so glad we made it in time to hear my niece Erin sing the National Anthem. She did great! Very cool! Brave girl. We thought it might be earlier in the program but it was just before the fireworks.
The boys of course had their light sticks. We like to have them at the fireworks every year.
So the music that the fireworks went along with was mostly traditional Sousa marches but all the sudden there was a Toby Keith song thrown in there & Knox jumped up & started dancing. That is really funny because we can hardly get him to dance at home & he just jumped up & started to boogie all on his own. This picture is of Hans joining in.
(The weather actually turned out really nice.)

Thats funny I could barely keep myself from dancing on the Toby Keith song too. I thought Erin was amazing - brought tears to my eyes.
