Good News Bad News

Bad news: I found these 2 boys with their brand new tricycle in the far left ditch of the garden last night. The ditch was pretty much full of muddy water at the time. When I started cleaning up the muddy mess I realized that I should have taken pictures because it was kind of funny. The only thing Hans would disclose is that they were trying to wash off the bike. I think the only casualties will be a couple of onions & the watermelons. Oh well. Good news: I do have peas & pumpkins coming up from the seeds I planted. Didn't think that would happen. Now if they can just survive the boys!
Good news: These are the roses on the vines on the front of our house. Bad news: the stake holding them up broke in the 50mph winds today.
Bad news: we had 50mph winds today. Good news: the direction of the wind. The gigantic wall of tumble weeds behind our house blew away & it wasn't toward our house. I think I cheered. You can see them blowing away & where they used to dwell. I should have chopped the roots of the other ones so they would have gone too.

I love watching tumbleweeds fly around in the wind. We get craaaazy wind here...and with today's heavy snow it's pretty entertaining, at least since we're inside.

But Waite! You might need those tumbleweeds in case of a famine! I guess when that day comes, you can just pray for an opposite wind, and dinner will arive at your back door :)

Crazy picture of the wind! Your flowers look great but sorry about the garden. Silly boys. Maybe they were the ones who drove through our garden last year! ;)
